Description of the project

Based on a desire to promote the scuba diving and freediving sites of Quebec, the National Network project aims to promote and protect Quebec's aquatic environments, to promote the safe practice of underwater activities as well as to develop the involvement and commitment of the Quebec underwater community towards a common and mobilizing project.

To do this, Québec Subaquatique has implemented signage tools for diving sites, in order to facilitate the communication of important elements to know for those practicing underwater activities as well as other users of a site. The elements found on these displays relate in particular to the general regulations of the site, those of diving in Quebec, the environment and good usage practices.

Launched in 2021, this project evolved from an accreditation program towards a revised formula in 2023-2024 in order to make it simpler and accessible, first offering display, then services to practice site managers . The aim is to increase accessibility, to be able to obtain signage on a greater number of diving and freediving sites and thus reach and inform a greater number of users.

Any site manager wishing to obtain more information on the signage possibilities for their site is invited to contact us at info@quebecsubaquatique.ca
