Québec Subaquatique is proud to launch the first underwater hockey instructor training in Canada. An opportunity to develop extraordinary knowledge! 

  • Teaches the fundamentals of underwater hockeyShort and accessible training, which will allow you to quickly put your new skills into practice. 
  • Provides practical tools:  Includes training plans and educational ideas to create a successful and self training introduction to underwater hockey. 
  • Online Training: To be done at home, at your own pace, on a simple and easy-to-use platform. The different modules are accompanied by dynamic questionnaires to validate the knowledge acquired along the way. 
  • Internship in the pool: To put into practice what you have learned, to develop your skills and to quickly have a real experience of underwater hockey as an instructor. 
  • Certificate recognized by Québec Subaquatique:  Upon successful completion of the course, the instructor will receive a recreational underwater hockey instructor certificate of recognition. 

Prerequesites :

  • Must be 16 years of age or older  
  • For underwater hockey players, physical education teachers, lifeguards, snorkelers, swimmers, coaches and anyone looking for a new challenge. 
  • Have current CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary resuscitationAutomated External Defibrillator) first aid certification or complete it before applying for certification. 
  • Provide proof of a criminal background check at the time of application. 
  • Have or create a Gmail email address to log in and use the Google Classroom platform for your training.  

Included:  

  • The training, along with quizzes, instructional videos and the final exam 
  • Coordination of the pool course 
  • Plans to guide your first practises 

Following the training, the future instructor will have to provide proof of completion to Québec Subaquatique as well as validate his or her membership to receive his or her instructor's certificate and thus be recognized as an underwater hockey instructor!  

To remain active and thus recognized by their National Federation, Québec Subaquatique, instructors must keep their Québec Subaquatique membership and CPR/AED training current.
